2006: Saw playing time in a career-best two games ... Enjoyed his best spring at Middle Tennessee and earned the backup role at quarterback behind Clint Marks ... Completed 16 of 23 passes for 200 yards and tossed two interceptions in the Blue-White Spring Game ... Saw his first collegiate action late in win over Tennessee Tech with three total snaps (lone pass attempt was incomplete) ... Played a career-best nine snaps at South Carolina and rushed one time for three yards while going 0-for-2 in the passing department. 2005: Did not compete in any games but was a member of the travel squad. 2004: Did not compete in any games. 2003: Took a redshirt year. High School: A two-time all-state and three-time all-region pick for First Presbyterian ... Was the team's Offensive MVP all three years and picked team captain as a junior and senior ... Left First Presbyterian as the school's record holder in every statistical passing category (except longest completion) ... Helped lead the Vikings to the state semifinals in 2000 and 2002, while taking them to the state title game in 2001 ... Threw for 8,010 yards (ranks among top 50 all-time in high school ranks) and 72 touchdowns and completed 55.2 percent of his passes (544-985) during his prep career ... Completed 213 of 356 passes (60.0 percent) for 2,935 yards and 26 touchdowns in 2002 ... Named Macon TD Club Player of the Week four times ... Also rushed for 465 yards on 78 attempts and two scores ... As a junior he threw for 2,884 yards and 28 touchdowns and threw for 2,112 yards as a sophomore ... First player in the history of First Presbyterian Day School to sign a Division I-A scholarship.
