Recruiting Update: Brandon Jackson-Bell

Interest in the Miller Grove cornerback is starting to heat up and culminated in a pretty exciting Junior Day invite this week.

"I got an invitation to Auburn's Junior Day this weekend and I was shocked," Brandon Jackson-Bell said during a quick call. "It's the first time I've heard anything from them."

The lack of communication doesn't mean that Brandon isn't familiar with the program, however. He is friends with Jonathan Mincy, a 3-star CB who was a part of Auburn's 2010 recruiting class.

"I like the atmosphere out there, and at cornerback they play anybody. Height doesn't matter. If you're good they'll play you," he says.

Despite his excitement about the invitation, he's not sure if he'll be able to make it because of a conflicting track meet. He plans on getting in touch with Auburn's recruiting coordinator to talk about things.

As far as other schools go, Jackson-Bell says that he's recently been in touch with Duke and Louisville in addition to Auburn. He's already made a visit to Duke and says he liked what they had to offer.

"I went up there on a visit and I talked to the coaches. They really liked me and made me feel like I was home. They talked to me and told me some good stuff."

When asked about a favorite school so far in the process, Jackson-Bell says that Middle Tennessee is on top, with Southern Miss., Duke and Auburn coming in after that. He plans to attend Middle Tennessee's spring game and Junior Day activities on April 10 and is looking for other invitations and/ or offers to roll in.

One additional item to note is the fact that Brandon said he does plan on running track in college, but that it likely won't effect his decision much when picking a school.
