Blue Raiders topple the Owls

The Blue Raiders win their 2nd straight Sun Belt conference game, defeating Florida Atlantic.

Murfreesboro, TN- Kermit Davis' squad won their 2nd straight Sun Belt Conference game Wednesday night, defeating Florida Atlantic 61-57. The win comes on the heels of the Blue Raiders being kicked out of their plush locker room by Coach Davis. Davis felt that his team was not appreciating their surroundings and it was showing in a lack of effort on the court. Since that time the Blue Raiders are undefeated.

Middle Tennessee was led in scoring by Desmond Yates who netted 14. Three other Blue Raiders reached double digits. Demetrius Green picked up 11 points. Kevin Kanaskie had 10 and Josh Sain came off the bench to contribute 10.

The Blue Raiders move to to 2-2 in league play and 5-9 overall. The Blue Raiders will have a week off before they travel to Troy, Al to face the Trojans.
