ULM unleashed a 15-hit assault on McNeese State pitching Tuesday night to pound out a 17-8 win at Warhawk Field.
Senior outfielder Taylor Abdalla finished 4-for-5 with five RBIs, a homer and a double to pace the home team. Inserted into the ULM leadoff spot, Chris Dudley was 2-for-3 with three RBIs, a home run and his fourth stolen base. Judd Edwards, Kodie Tidwell, Logan Fiasco and Jeff Fuller recorded two hits apiece.
The Warhawks took control early with a seven-run first inning to go up 7-1.
The third ULM pitcher, Tyler Bray notched 2.1 innings of scoreless relief to collect his first win. Bray walked two, fanned four and didn't allow a hit.
ULM improved to 7-5 while McNeese dropped to 6-6.
The Warhawks visit former Southland Conference rival Northwestern State on Friday night to open a three-game series at 6:30 p.m.. ULM will complete the split-site series at Warhawk Field with home games on Saturday (6 p.m.) and Sunday (1 p.m.).
