"Ole Miss started recruiting me a couple weeks into my season," added Cunningham. "I sent coach (Maurice) Harris some film and he was impressed. I am coming off of two knee surgeries so it has slowed down my recruitment, but they saw how I am getting downhill now and have become a threat so they gave me a call."

Scout.com's #32 ranked tight end came to Oxford to see them face off against Auburn.

"I love how coach Freeze came in and changed their program. They let me come into the locker room, and I saw how they handle things on game day and execute on the field and win. It has always been my dream to play in the SEC and Ole Miss and Auburn are on me hard. Lawrence Lilly played there in college and he is my position coach now. That is my god brother and neighbor. I look up to him for guidance and he loved his stay there at Ole Miss."

What stood out the most about the visit?

"Right when I got there their coaches treated me like family. I like how they treat their players and how they make you feel at home. That is what stood out to me the most about Ole Miss. I also liked the atmosphere at the game from the fans. That is the type of environment you want to play in coming out of high school."

Although an formal offer was not extended before he left the trip the Ole Miss coaches let Korey know that they will be keeping an eye on him.

"They are coming by my next home game in two weeks. They will look at some more film. They want to see my speed up close. It really is a done deal though, but they want to see me up close before they give me my offer."

What is Auburn saying?

"The same thing as Ole Miss. I went over there to see them play Arkansas play. I spoke to coach (Jay) Boulware, and he is going to get back in touch with me. He likes how much I have improved since last season."

Anybody else showing interest?

"It is mainly Auburn and Ole Miss but Missouri, Clemson, and Georgia call some too. I think Ole Miss and Auburn are about to offer me though."

The 6' 6", 245-pound tight end brings more to the table than just size.

"Really my main strength is my blocking, but I have good speed too. I can spread the defense out and take advantage of a cornerback because of my size and a linebacker because of my speed. I give an offense a lot of mismatches on the field."

Cunningham has 17 catches on the season through seven games of action.
