Camp Reactions: Logan Cavender Speaks

For Logan Cavender, the Summer season is an important time. The talented Tennessee linebacker is working to earn his first offer and took a step in the right direction this past weekend at Middle Tennessee. BlueRaiderZone recently caught up to Cavender to talk recruiting.

Logan Cavender Profile

"It's a pretty big campus. They have nice fields and everything," Cavender says of last weekend's Middle Tennessee camp. "It seems like [head coach Rick Stockstill] has things under control. I'll definitely get some bowl games if I go there."

While Cavender was able to impress the Blue raider staff during camp, he's already popped up on the radars of several programs around the Southeast.

"I'm hearing from Navy, Southern Illinois, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Arkansas State and a bunch of the Ivy League schools," Cavender says.

Out of that impressive list, Cavender has an early favorite.

"My number one is probably Mississippi State," he explains. "They've definitely been talking to me the most with Navy right behind."

Cavender maintains that he's just waiting on his first offer for now. In order to help make that happen, he's planning on camping at Miss. State, Vanderbilt, Navy, several Ivy League schools and participating in an Under Armour camp in order to get his name out there. Ideally, he'll have a handful of offers to choose from by the end of the Summer.

"I'm just looking for a pretty good football team," Cavender explains of what he's wanting in a potential program. "I just like a big school and intense coaches."

Stay tuned to for more on Cavender as he continues to camp throughout the Summer. Recommended Stories
